Fur For Ecology
For ages, killing sprees of wild animals constituted for ages till we reached a stage where extinction of some such animals could be seen coming. Thus, the policymakers' intervention at a governmental level comes to the rescue. At the same time, with strict punishments associated with such practices, the trade went under ground, pushing prices to another level.
There is nothing more balanced than nature itself, so the existence of all animals , including wild ones, has a role to play in balancing the delicate ecology.
On the other hand, researchers continuously look to develop or identify alternatives. This is where merino fur was identified. It is a by-product of the meat industry (merino breed sheep) , which if not used as fur, would further go down the supply chain to the leather industry after several chemical treatments, some more harsh than others.
